AGRICULTURE: A 24/7 JOB

Agriculture is not a landscape. It is people, work and a way of life.

Agriculture is often photographed through its landscapes and finished products. I look beyond that to document the people, work, processes and environments that make agriculture possible, from the daily routines in the field to the machinery, physical labour and decisions behind the finished product.

Working on the ground in rural Spain, my local knowledge, fluent Spanish and English, and ability to build relationships allow me to work naturally with farmers and agricultural communities. That access helps me photograph people at work rather than simply photographing the work, revealing the skill, effort and human stories behind what we see.

My documentary-led approach combines environmental portraiture, people-at-work photography, process, detail and landscape, creating images that show both the character of a place and the reality of the people who work it.

The result is photography that can serve agricultural businesses, food and beverage brands, tourism organisations, agencies and publications, telling the story behind a product, a business and the people who make it possible.
