Faith and forgiveness in south-western Spain
A first-person account of Los Empalaos, an extraordinary Holy Week tradition in Jerez de los Caballeros, Extremadura. As both writer and photographer, I documented the people, preparations and procession from within, after being granted exceptional access by the Brotherhood of the Penitents of the True Cross.
The access allowed me to go beyond photographing the spectacle and document the people, beliefs and personal commitment behind the tradition.

Cooperativa Virgen de la Estrella, rompiendo fronteras
A comprehensive feature on Cooperativa Virgen de la Estrella in Los Santos de Maimona, Badajoz, examining more than six decades of olive oil production and the cooperative's combination of agricultural tradition, technological innovation and premium EVOO production.
The feature covers the cooperative's olive-growing operation, production facilities, people, Texturas premium oils, international markets, research and development projects, sustainability initiatives and plans for oleotourism. My photography documents the cooperative from the inside, from the olive groves and production processes to its people, products, facilities, laboratories and presence at international food events.

A first-hand account of a traditional olive harvest in Extremadura, following fourth-generation olive farmer Lorenzo as he works his family’s groves using techniques passed down through generations. The story explores the relationship between farmer, land and tradition, while documenting the physical process of harvesting olives by hand and the changing role of mechanisation in modern agriculture.
