NORAH'S STORY

A portrait of movement, ambition and identity.

Norah's Story is a visual portrait of a young dancer, exploring movement, personality and ambition through the places and environments that shape her.

Rather than simply documenting dance as a performance, I worked with Norah to create a series that combines environmental portraiture, movement and observation, using architecture, interiors, street environments and available light to reveal different aspects of her character.

The project required a collaborative approach, working closely with the subject to create images that feel both directed and natural. From carefully constructed portraits to spontaneous moments of movement, I used location, composition, light and gesture to build a visual narrative around the person rather than simply the activity.

This is the kind of people-centred photography I bring to cultural, lifestyle, editorial and commercial assignments, where understanding the person behind the story is as important as creating a strong image.
